Home Sweet Home
Last weekend I travelled home to visit my mom's house and also happened to find her Nikon D40. With a growing interest in better photography lately, it was the perfect combo to spend the weekend playing around and getting more comfortable with shooting in natural light.
It doesn't hurt that my mom has a gorgeous sense of style and her home is effortlessly arranged with beautiful tableau after beautiful tableau. It's these short but sweet trips home that reminds me of where I've come from and how she infuses such a sense of loveliness into everything she does.
These are just a few quick shots from around the house. I think the most surprising thing about her interior style is how she manages to weave our silly childhood art into her beautifully arranged bookshelves!
I've hit a point with this blogging thang where it almost feels like a chore to keep up with it. However, just getting out of my element and routine and being surrounded again by that sense of home has reinvigorated me and I'm feeling inspired again!
